For this Tribute, we selected the classic Single-Action Revolver, made famous by Samuel Colt’s legendary firearms company. As you known, the SAA revolver was the handgun of choice for many of the Old West lawmen, outlaws, and settlers, such as Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, and Wild Bill Hickock. It is often referred to as the “Peacemaker” and “the pistol that won the West.” In the lore of the Old West, it’s considered the classic American revolver, and was a favorite of the silver screen cowboys such as Clayton Moore, Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Hopalong Cassidy, and John Wayne. To this day, the SAA continues as one of the most popular firearms for collectors and Old West enthusiasts alike.
On the left side, you will find a panel decorated with 24-karat gold and nickel artwork of Clayton Moore atop a mighty, rearing stallion. On the recoil shield you will find a handsome lifelike portrait of Clayton, with a beaming smile for his loyal fans.
The right side of the frame features three bullets – a necessity for any cowboy’s survival in the Old West.
Featured on the backstrap is the Tribute’s name and edition number beneath a pair of crossed pistols. The handsome faux ivory grips elegantly complement the presentation and accentuate the gleaming nickel finish.
